2021 Academic fall semester 

During this fall semester, I was able to advance my technical editing skill by working on  projects in my technical editing class

Editing Plan

The first project was an editing plan for an apartment complex's security deposit. This was the first editing plan where I was able to use substantive and copyediting experience. I gave suggestions to the client to make their security deposit easier to understand and navigate.

Wikipedia Editing

In this project, I was given hands-on experience fact-checking and adding more information to Wikipedia articles to make them reliable sources. My main goal was to edit the articles to completeness and accuracy.

DIY Video Editing Plan 

This project was the second project that gave me both substantive and copyediting experience. I chose a youtube video of my liking to make edits on to improve the overall effectiveness of the video. I gave the client an editing plan for their video and for future videos they make.

UTA COVID-19 Flyer

This project was the last project of the semester and I was able to use Powerpoint to edit a flyer to give students information about COVID-19. I was also able to use substantive and copyedits in this project as well. I give my client effective ways to edit their flyer to make them more appealing ad easier for students to read quickly in between classes.
